Description

These loofah sponges are unbleached and hand-cut to provide a nice grip to help clean larger surfaces like plates, stove tops, and counter spaces with ease. Coming in sets of 2, they have a softer side that lathers up soap beautifully and a scrubby side for the more stubborn stains. 100% compostable, loofah (luffa) has been used by different cultures for centuries before plastic was mass-produced. It replaces traditional plastic sponges in dishwashing and general household cleaning.

  • 100% Natural & Compostable: Made from 100% loofah (luffa) plant that is fully biodegradable
  • Anti-Bacterial & Easy to Clean: Compared to plastic, loofah is anti-bacterial and can be disinfected by boiling in water
  • Effective & Non-Scratch: Safe to clean food scraps and stain stuck on cast iron stainless steel, and non-stick cookware

Directions: Soak the sponge in water to watch it expand for a few minutes before use (especially first use), then use as a regular sponge (scrub pots, dishes, and other surfaces with soap as needed).

Care Tips: Air dry completely between uses. Avoid soaking in water for extended periods to reduce bacteria or mold buildup, and boil in water to kill bacteria. Keep away from high heat or flames.

Disposal: Cut in small pieces, then place in the green bin to compost or directly compost in the backyard. The loofah can also be used like coconut fibre in the garden as it is excellent at water retention, growing seedlings, creating a potting mix, for pest resistance, and can be used as bedding in worm bins.
