Below are alphabetical lists of ingredients that we may use in the creation of our own product line. Read below for details on why we use these ingredients in our products as well as descriptions of our available scents and scent combinations.
Please keep in mind that we use all of these ingredients with the same equipment, so we cannot ensure that there is no crossover for allergen purposes. Pure Butters
- Cocoa Butter
- Cocoa (Theobroma Cocao) Seed Butter contains polyphenols, an antioxidant known to protect against UV rays and certain diseases, as well as phytosterols which help to lock in moisture and hydrate the skin. It also contains natural Vitamin E to help soften and protect the skin as well.
- Mango Butter
- Mango (Mangifera Indica) Seed Butter has natural skin regenerative properties, as well as emollient properties that help to lock in moisture to soften & hydrate the skin.
- Shea Butter
- Shea (Butyrosperum Parkii) Butter has a variety of unique properties that allow it to penetrate deeply and rejuvenate damaged cells & restore elasticity to the skin.
Plant-Based Oils
- Apricot Kernel Oil
- Apricot (Prunus Armeniaca) Kernel Oil is a great natural emollient and moisturizer for the skin as it is rich in fatty acids like omega-6 and omega-9 and Vitamins A and E that also give it antioxidant, ant-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-aging properties.
- Argan Oil
- Argan (Argania Spinosa) Kernel Oil comes from the native Moroccan Argan tree and is rich in Vitamin E and Omega fatty acids. It is often used in hair products as it can help hydrate and moisturize the skin or hair and minimize damage while maintaining frizz.
- Avocado Oil
- Avocado (Persea Gratissima) Oil is rich in omeg-3 fatty acids and Vitamins A, E, and D, making it a great option for nourishing damaged skin. It hydrates and has anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidants that fight against aging, acne, eczema, and other protects against types of skin damage.
- Castor Oil
- Castor (Ricinus Communis) Seed Oil helps boost your skin’s natural retention of moisture, leaving your skin softer and healthier.
- Coconut Oil
- Coconut (Cocos Nucifera) Oil contains powerful antioxidants that help reduce aging in the skin and repair damage caused by light and radiation. When used in smaller amounts, it is also great at softening and moisturizing the skin as well as soothing itchiness.
- Emu Oil
- Emu Oil is a rare and luxurious natural oil that is great at penetrating deep into the skin to help soften it, boost cell regeneration, and restore the skin's natural protective barrier. Perfect for heel balms or other extremely chapped areas on the body.
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Olive (Olea Europaea) Fruit Oil is great for nourishing and moisturizing the skin. It also has great healing, toning, and antioxidant properties that help to hydrate and protect the skin.
- Mineral Oil
- Mineral oil is a lightweight odorless oil that is often used in cosmetics or lotions for moisturizing, but can also be used as a great non-toxic way to leave a lovely natural finish on wood.
- USDA Certified Organic Jojoba Oil
- Jojoba (Simmondsia Chinensis) Seed Oil is technically a liquid wax ester that serves as a great emollient, meaning that it moisturizes the skin and improves hydration. It also serves as a great carrier for essential oil scents as it combines with our body’s natural oils. The jojoba oil we use is 100% certified organic.
- Rosehip Oil
- Rosehip (Rosa Canina or Rosa Rubignosa) Oil is derived from the fruits and seeds of rose plants and has long been used in skincare products as it contains a variety of nourishing vitamins and essential fatty acids as well as having anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. Its antioxidants and vitamins A and E help to nourish and hydrate the skin as well as alleviate and protect against damage.
- Sesame Oil
- Sesame (Sesamum Indicum) Seed Oil is a natural lightweight oil often used in soaps or massage products as it helps to reduce inflammation, encourage cell regeneration, and regulate moisture, all without staining clothes.
- Soybean Oil
- Soybean (Glycine Soja) oil is a lightweight oil that easily and naturally absorbs into dry skin and provides a creamy moisturizing lather in soaps.
- Sunflower Oil
- Sunflower (Helianthus Annuus) Seed Oil is often used in cosmetics or lotions for its anti-inflammatory and skin softening properties, but is also a great additive for natural soaps as it provides a lovely moisturizing lather.
- Sweet Almond Oil
- Sweet Almond (Prunus Dulcis) Oil softens and nourishes the skin and is often used as a massage oil.
Natural Waxes
- Beeswax
- Beeswax (Cera Alba) is naturally secreted by honeybees, though it can often take a long time to build up and therefore be costly for beekeepers to produce. It has long been used as candlewax but it has plenty of other amazing properties as well. It is great for lotions and other cosmetics as it helps to naturally moisturize & protect the skin and it is also perfect for waterproofing.
- Candelilla Wax
- Candelilla (Euphorbia Cerifera) Wax is taken from the natural coating of a shrub native to North America ad serves as a great Vegan wax option for cosmetics. It is a great emollient or stabilizer for natural products and is non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores while it protects the skin.
- Carnauba Wax
- Carnauba Wax is a great vegan plant-based wax that is made from the leaves of the carnauba palm tree (Copernicia prunifera). It can be used in skin products to prevent dry skin or inflammation and is also often used as a waterproof protective wax to give cars or wood a glossy finish.
- Lanolin
- Lanolin is a wax ester that is naturally excreted by sheep in their wool and is a by-product of wool processing. It serves as a great protectant for the skin as it helps protect from the elements while retaining your skins natural moisture.
Other
- Arrowroot Powder
- Arrowroot (Maranta Arundinacea) Powder is taken from the tubers of a tropical plant and is a natural starch that helps absorb extra oils from the body and combat redness or itchiness while fighting bacteria.
- Lecithin
- Lecithin is derived from soybeans and can serve as an emulsifier, as well as helping to repair and replenish damaged skin cells. It also works wonders on nails as it helps to nourish, moisturize, and protect nails and cuticles.
- Menthol Crystals
- Menthol Crystals are an organic compound obtained from peppermint or other mint oils that is often used as a local anesthetic to combat skin irritants.
- Pine Resin
- Pine Resin or Rosin is derived from pine tree sap and is sometimes used for medicinal purposes for its anti-bacterial properties, but it can also serve as a great natural sealant.
- Rosemary Oleoresin (Rosemary Leaf Extract)
- Rosemary Oleoresin (Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract) or ROE is not a preservative, but rather is an antioxidant often added to oils to prolong shelf life.
- Turpentine
- Turpentine is a great additive to wood balms as it helps to remove dirt and oil from the wood and reduce wax buildup.
- Vitamin E Oil
- Vitamin E Oil (Tocopherol) or T-50 is a great antioxidant for natural oil-based products and extends shelf life.
Essential Oils
- Birch
- Distilled from the bark of birch trees, this essential oil not only has a sweet minty-fresh aroma reminiscent of birch beer, but it is also known for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties.
- Camphor
- Camphor is used for pain management and skin cleansing and can also serve as a great insect repellant. It has a musky earthy scent.
- Texas Cedarwood
- This essential oil comes from distilled steam from cedar wood and has great decongestive, pain relieving, and detoxing potential. It has a slightly sweet woodsy scent that is very calming and grounding.
- Cinnamon Leaf
- Cinnamon has a distinct warm & spicy scent while also thought to contain antibacterial, antifungal, antidiabetic, and antioxidant properties.
- Citronella
- Citronella is known for keeping flying insects away, but it can also slow the spread of harmful bacteria in the air and possibly work to reduce headaches and muscle spasms. It has an uplifting lemony & grassy green scent.
- Clove Bud
- Clove bud oil is antimicrobial and can help with itchy skin, and has a warm base with notes of subtle spice
- Eucalyptus
- Eucalyptus is commonly used to treat muscle pain or upper respiratory conditions and has a strong clean and uplifting scent that is often considered medicinal.
- Geranium
- Geranium has a scent similar to that of rose with fruity & minty undertones. It has some potential antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antiseptic properties that can help reduce acne or inflammation.
- Grapefruit
- Grapefruit has an uplifting fresh aroma with notes of tart citrus. It can help flush fluid out of the system, so it is often used for fluid retention or cellulite issues, but it is also great for cleansing and balancing congested or oily skin.
- Lavender
- Lavender is commonly used to treat muscle spasms and treat insomnia, but it is also great at helping to tone the skin and stimulate the growth of new skin cells. It has a very uplifting and refreshingly clean floral scent.
- Lemongrass
- Lemongrass is used to treat digestive and high blood pressure issues, as well as relieve stress and anxiety. It has a refreshing green lemony cool grass scent.
- Peppermint Leaf
- Peppermint is often used for its medicinal properties as it relieves tension and irritation, clears the sinuses, and soothes headaches. It has a strong refreshingly clean mint smell.
- Pine Needle
- Pine oil can be good for dry or itchy skin and has a very strong and fresh clean woodsy scent like that of a Christmas tree
- Rose
- Rose oil helps to hydrate and sooth the skin as well as prevent effects of aging in the skin. It has an uplifting sweet floral aroma.
- Rosemary
- Rosemary is known for its pain relief and detoxing properties and has a refreshing herb and clean woodsy scent.
- Sweet Orange
- This essential oil can help clarify and remove excess oil from the skin and has a wonderfully sweet & cheery orange citrus scent.
- Tea Tree
- Tea tree oil is said to boost the body’s natural immune system and can help sooth insect bites an inflammation, as well as serving as a general antiseptic and antimicrobial agent. It has a fresh woodsy scent that is sometimes considered medicinal.
- Vanilla
- Vanilla is a smooth sweet scent reminiscent of baking and romance that is calming and can act as an aphrodisiac.
Our EO Scent Combinations
- Birch & Cedarwood
- A refreshingly sweet scent reminiscent of birch beer with a woodsy base to add some earthiness and round it all out. It contains no mint, but has a slightly minty smell.
- Fresh Mint
- A combination of classic peppermint with some fresh green garden herbs that will always leave you feeling clean and minty fresh.
- Fresh Pine Forest
- A very strong and clean earthy smell, reminiscent of a fresh pine forest or a Christmas tree with slight herby notes
- Lavender Pine
- A very fresh clean scent with strong uplifting pine and a base of slightly floral lavender.
- Lavender Spice
- This scent combo brings a refreshing floral lavender scent backed with some cinnamon spice to add some warmth and complexity.
- Lemongrass Lavender
- This classic combo provides a clean uplifting citrus scent with a dash of floral sweetness.
- Orange Spice
- This scent combo brings you up with a sweet aromatic orange citrus scent and back down to earth again with some cinnamon spice to add some warmth and complexity.

- A subtle but sweet rounded floral scent with peony and gardenia.

- A fresh floral aroma with an uplifting yet calming effect.

- Combining both grapefruit and sweet orange oils, this combo has a sweet and fruity uplifting aroma
- Sweet Citrus Lavender
- This scent combines the best of floral and fruity into a blissfully sweet and refreshing aroma.
- Tea Tree & Eucalyptus
- Fresh high notes of peppermint balanced with a base of clean herby and minty tea tree and eucalyptus scents.
- Tuberose & Gardenia
- A very strong clean and sweet floral scent, like your favorite shampoo.
- Vanilla Cedarwood
- A soothing and cozy sweet scent reminiscent of fresh baked warm cookies in a calm wooden cabin.
- Woodsy Citrus
- A lemon citrus scent backed with a woodsy base to even it out and add to the calming effect.
